Honor Flights are returning to Dulles Airport. Saint Louis Martin Council 15256 participates in greeting veterans as they depart for and return from visiting war memorials in Washington, D.C. — at no cost to the veterans.
The Honor Flight Network transports World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. Approximately 640 WWII veterans pass away every day, making timely recognition of their sacrifice crucial.
Greeters are needed at Dulles Airport to welcome veterans as they arrive and depart. Volunteers create greeting corridors, wear patriotic clothing, carry flags, and cheer as veterans pass through. There is no cost to participate, and Dulles Airport provides complimentary parking in Garage 1.
Chicago Honor Flight arrivals occur monthly on Wednesdays. Honor Flight at Dulles handles flights from other hubs in the national network. Contact us for specific upcoming dates and times.
